McPherson Design Group, p.c. is a SWaM Certified structural engineering firm located in Norfolk.  Roland E. McPherson, P.E. established the company in 1983. His innovative and unique approach to structural engineering and construction techniques has resulted in providing high quality and cost-effective services to a variety of clientele.

McPherson Design Group has a well-seasoned team of personnel (23 Employees), with a tremendous wealth of experience, energy, and vision. It is because of this commitment to our future that we changed the name of the firm from McPherson & Associates, P.C. to McPherson Design Group, p.c.

McPherson Design Group has successfully completed projects with various developers, architectural, mechanical, electrical, geotechnical and civil engineering firms, general contractors, municipalities, and state/federal government. Our work over the last twenty-nine (29) years has mainly consisted of Indefinite Delivery Contracts. We have also maintained long-term working relationships with numerous military installations throughout the United States, and we have a vast amount of experience with the Department of Defense on projects abroad, including the Latin Americas, Caribbean, and Europe, including Antigua, Aguada, Argentia, Azores, Bermuda, Cuba, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Currently, we are registered in forty (40) States.
